Retro Revival X is intended to be a family friendly educational resource, and I have taken every effort to ensure that there is no material on the site that could cause anyone offence. However, in order to provide the fullest picture of what the internet has to offer, it has been necessary to include links to websites that include some strong language and/or strong material.

I have therefore devised a rating system that will notify visitors of a site’s content before they click on the link. Please allow me to introduce you to Blinky , Pinky , Inky and Clyde , otherwise known as the ghosts from Pac-Man. Don’t Panic! They’re not here to cause trouble, they’re actually here to help.

You will see one of these ghosts after many of the links on the site, informing you that the link destination meets one of the classifications below.

	Inky These websites/pages are free of any offensive language or material and are generally suitable for all ages (some sites may have received a teen rating). If however you do come across something offensive on a site I have marked as safe then please inform me and I will adjust the site’s rating accordingly.
	Pinky This means that the site features milder swear words that you might not want younger children hearing. Stronger swear words might also be used but will be censored, and some sites may feature more mature themes or subjects that are not suitable for children.
	Clyde These websites and pages will occasionally use strong language that has not been censored. The material featured may be more mature and might even be of an adult nature. Links with this rating will usually be accompanied by a further explanation of what is on the site that is offensive. As a result, these links might not be suitable for children and may not be safe to be viewed at work.
	Blinky These sites will frequently use strong language and/or strong material. An explanation may be given as to where the offensive material is and what form it takes, but otherwise these sites should be deemed unsafe for work and are definitely unsuitable for children.

Video Ratings

There is also a rating system for the videos that I have uploaded onto the site and YouTube channel. These ratings are there to provide information about material featured in the videos that may not be suitable for some, particularly young children. Here is a description of the ratings.

This video features mild animated violence that may not be suitable to be watched by young children. This includes imagery depicting the use of weapons (knives, swords, guns, explosives etc.) against human characters and\or footage of human characters fighting.

This video features animated violence and gore that is not suitable for young children. This covers game footage that shows blood, gore, dismemberments and graphic deaths to human characters. While I feel it is necessary to show such visual imagery uncensored on the site to give a proper representation of the games, I will continue to avoid using or at least censor game content that features explicit language or images of a sexual nature.

Any videos that do not carry either of the these ratings have been deemed suitable to be watched by all.
